1990: Learned
to drive stick shift on Atari’s “Hard
Drivin” in an NJ bowling alley.
1991: Created
stop-motion animation and cell animation at University
of the Arts, Philadelphia.
1992: First T-shirt
Co., “Moo Cow Clothes”, sold 25, mostly
to family. Made video8 movies with friends.
1993: Photo and
art director for high
school paper and yearbook. Photos also appear in
local paper.
1994: Discovered
beer, girls, and automobiles. Played 1st singles tennis
in NJ.
1995: Contributed
a comic strip “the
Insane Carrot” to the “Daily
Orange” at Syracuse
University.
1996: Co-directed
online-zine and invented “Virtual Omelette”,
one of the web’s first viral experiments.
1997: Lead design
on Lucent Technologies global website while interning
at AGENCY.com in
NYC.
1998: Designed
web-based online trading interface for TD Waterhouse
at K2 Design in NYC.
1999: Developed
online marketing/creative strategy for LEXIS-NEXIS,
HP, and NCR.
2000: Founding
Associate Creative Director/Partner at Digital@JWT.
Built team of 10 to run $10mm.
2001: Developed
integrated campaign: “design
your own engagement ring”, for Debeer’s.
2002: Joined TBWA\Chiat\Day as
youngest CD and built digital department. Designed
UI/Branding Orbitz.com
2003: Won awards
for ABSOLUT’s
first online ad campaign. 2nd T-shirt Co. “doug&johnny”. Left the corporate ad world to start thehappycorp
global, a creative holding company.
2004: LVHRD,
creative private members club, and AAARRR!!!
a digital creative company.
2005: Helped Bring Semi-Permanent to Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in NYC, a 1,200 attendee event showcasing global creative talent. I join the Art Directors Club Board.
2006: LVHRD,
hosts (CLL) PHN-LCKN at the MoMA with over 1,000 attendees, party without cellphones. Thehappycorp continues to grow.
2007: thehappycorp moves from 56 Spring to 407 Broome Street, begin working with larger clients with do good mission.
